    Are these overhead led lights? And are you planning on using specific task lighting for individual machines?

    We've recently changed most of our house incandescent bulbs to LED bulbs. We've used a few brands including http://www.philips.com.au/c/led-light-bulbs/18322/cat/ and http://www.iglobe.com.au/.

    I've been quite impressed. Instantly on. Minimal power draw. Nice consistent light (but more directional than a standard incandescent.) They are expensive though.

    I debated different options included florescent and LED strip lighting. Pricing is fairly similar when you consider fitting and bulb.

    On this plan the lights follow the four rafters. The outside ones are close to walls so to cover the bench and any peripheral machines. With 16 LED bulbs there shouldn’t be any shadows or need for task lights. In theory.
